Removing

Lower the soft top and position the soft top cover straight up.

Remove the side trim. See Rear side trim, CV .

Remove the relay holder.

Remove the relay.

Fitting

Fit the relay.

Fit the relay holder.

Connect the diagnostic tool and program the relay. See the menu “Programming” Tech 2 menu structure .

Important
Never have more than one unprogrammed relay in the car. If more than one unprogrammed relay is fitted in the car both will receive the same address.
If more than one relay has to be replaced, first fit and program one relay, then fit and program the next relay. This procedure is to prevent two relays from getting the same address.

Note the position of the relay.

Fit the side trim. See Fitting .

Erase any diagnostic trouble codes.
