Replacing suspension hook in soft top storage

Hook, washer and pop rivet are included in spare part kit 47 41 971
|
1.
|
Raise (close) the soft top.
|
|
2.
|
Open the boot lid and pull out the strap with the defective hook.
|
|
3.
|
Mark the position of the hook.
|
|
4.
|
Split the seam securing the hook and remove the hook.
|
|

|
Fit the new hook.
|
Important
|
|
The strap should have the same length as the strap with the other hook.
|
|
|
|
|
2.
|
Fold the strap as shown and make holes with an awl through three layers of fabric.
|
|
3.
|
Fit the washer and pop rivet the strap.
|
