| Background |
When ordering compressor oil, type signal 16 should now be quoted. Every package contains 12 tubes, each with 20 ml of compressor oil.
In connection with repairs and refilling R134a refrigerant, different compressor oils are required for different compressors.
Below is a table showing car model, compressor manufacturer, type of oil and part number.

Cars with R12 refrigerant
For cars with R12 refrigerant the following oil should be used:Suniso Oil 5GS - part number 16-30 07 473 (0.5-litre bottle)
Saab 900 and 9000 converted from R12 to R134a
For cars that have been converted from R12 to R134a refrigerant the following synthetic ester oil should be used:Retro 100 ISO-VG100 - part number 10-45 42 890
