Advice for safe handling

Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Storage directives

Do not store with oxidants. Store the container well sealed. Store dry. Good ventilation is absolutely necessary. Local exhaust ventilation is recommended.

Ventilation must be efficient. Limit values must not be exceeded and the risk of inhalation of fumes and mist shall be minimised.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

Stability

Stable under normal conditions.

Silica. Carbon monoxide and traces of incompletely burned carbon products. Toxic fumes from fluorine compounds. Metal products. Nitrous oxides. If this product is heated over 150 °C, small amounts of formaldehyde may be released.

Formaldehyde fumes that can be released at high temperatures are harmful when inhaled and irritate the eyes and air passages at concentrations under 1 ppm.



11. TOXICOLOGIC INFORMATION

Inhalation

Normally, no harmful effects are expected. Formaldehyde fumes that can be released at temperatures greater than 150 degrees are harmful when inhaled and irritate the eyes and air passages at concentrations under 1 ppm.

Skin

Prolonged, repeated contact can dry out the skin and cause skin damage.

Eyes

Mildly irritating.

Consumption

Small amounts transferred from the hands to the mouth are not harmful. Ingestion of large amounts may produce nausea.
