Since the concentration of barium is less than 1%, this product should not be classed as harmful (note 1 in the KIFS substance list). The constituent highly refined mineral oil includes the following CAS no: 64742-65-0, 64742-62-7 and 64742-52-5. These oils contain <3% (w/w) DMSO extract, measured according to IP 346, and should therefore not be classified as carcinogenic (note L in KIFS substance list). HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION Contains diphenylamine, for which the exposure limit is specified. Contains mineral oil for which the exposure limit for oil mist is applied. Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause skin inflammation (dermatitis). Spent grease can contain harmful contaminants. Not classified as flammable, although combustible. The product is not readily biodegradable. Can bioaccumulate.

FIRST AID MEASURES Inhalation In case of dizziness or nausea, remove the casualty to fresh air. Seek medical advice. Skin Take off immediately contaminated clothing and wash the skin with soap and water. Seek medical advice if irritation persists. If high pressure injection of the product occurs, seek immediate medical advice/visit hospital. Eyes Flush eyes with plenty of water. Seek medical advice if irritation persist. Ingestion DO NOT induce vomiting. Do not give anything to eat or drink. Seek medical advice if recovery is not quick. Medical information Treat symptomatically. Aspiration into lungs may cause chemically-induced pneumonia. Dermatitis may result from prolonged or repeated exposure.

FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES Suitable extinguishing media Foam or powder. Carbon dioxide, sand or earth can be used for small fires. Do not use water jet. Fire and explosion risks Combustion is likely to produce a complex mixture of fumes and air-borne particles, including carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and unidentified organic and inorganic compounds. Other information Suitable protective equipment and breathing apparatus with fresh air supply must be used if fighting a fire in a confined area.

SPILLAGE/ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Personal precautions Avoid contact with skin. Wear chemically-resistant gloves and boots. Environmental precautions Prevent release into drains, ditches and watercourses. Notify local authorities if release cannot be prevented. Methods for cleaning up For small spillages, collect in a suitable, clearly-marked container for disposal or recycling. For large spillages, prevent spreading by confining with sand, earth or other suitable material. Take up the product directly or using an absorbent material. Dispose of in the same way as for small spillages.

HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling If the product is handled in drums, wear protective shoes and use suitable handling equipment. Take precautions against spillage. Storage Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Use correct, labelled, sealable containers. Avoid direct sunlight, sources of heat and strong oxidizing agents. Storage temperature 0°C minimum, 50°C maximum. Store in containers made of sheet steel or high-density polyethene (HDPE). Do not use containers made of PVC or with a PVC lining.

EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION Chemical identity Limit - - Control procedures The occupational exposure limit for oil spray, including oil fumes, is 1 mg/m³. Use local extraction equipment if there is a risk of inhaling vapours, mist or aerosols. Wash hands before eating or drinking. Respiratory equipment Not normally required. If oil mist is likely, use a full-face or half-face mask with combifilter (gas/vapours and particles). Eye protection Wear eye/face protection in case of risk of splashes or if the product is handled under pressure. Hand protection PVC or nitrile rubber gloves. When handling heated product, protect the hands and body against splashes. Skin protection Avoid all forms of skin contact. Wear an overall to prevent contaminating your own clothes. Wash overalls and underclothes regularly. Wear protective clothing or PVC apron in case of risk of splashes.

10.	STABILITY AND REACTIVITY Stability Stable. Avoid very high temperatures and direct sunlight. Reacts with Strong oxidizing agents. Hazardous decomposition products Hazardous decomposition products are not expected to form under normal storage.

This may cause irritation and possible skin inflammation (dermatitis), especially as a result of poor hygiene. Minimize skin contact. Spent grease can contain harmful contaminants that have formed during use. The concentrations of such contaminants depends on the use and these may pose a hazard to health and the environment. ALL used grease must be handled with great care and skin contact avoided as far as possible. General Toxicological data especially for this product has not been established. The information is based on knowledge of the components and the toxicology of similar products. Inhalation Inhalation of vapours, mist or aerosols may cause mild irritation of the respiratory tract. Skin Expected to be mildly irritating. Eyes Expected to be mildly irritating. Ingestion Low acute toxicity. Sensitization Not expected to be sensitizing to skin. Cancer This product is based on mineral oils that have shown to be non-carcinogenic in animal skin painting studies. The other components are not associated with carcinogenic effects. Mutagen effects Not mutagen.

ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Mobility The product floats on water. Semi-solid under normal conditions. In case of spillage into the environment, the product will be strongly absorbed by soil particles. Degradability The product is not readily biodegradable. The main components are expected to be potentially biodegradable, but the product contains components that may persist in the environment. Accumulation Risk of bioaccumulation cannot be ruled out. Ecotoxicity The product is not expected to be toxic to aquatic organisms (expected LC/EC50 > 100 mg/l). (LD/EC50 as the nominal amount of product required to prepare aqueous test extract.) Other damaging effects May contaminate aquatic organisms. Information Ecotoxicological data have not been determined specifically for this product. Information given is based on a knowledge of the components and the ecotoxicology of similar products.

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Disposal considerations Waste and used product that cannot be recycled must be treated as hazardous waste. Must only be transported by licensed carries. Exception: license not required if the person carrying on the activities in which the hazardous waste is produce transports the hazardous waste themselves and the quantity of lubricant being transported during a year is less than 2 barrels (400 litres). Persons intending to transport their own waste should inform the county administrative board. Waste from the product must not be allowed to pollute the ground or water, or be released into the environment. The type of hazardous waste is specified by EWC codes. The codes for oil waste are based on application and constituent base oil. Data on applications and constituent base oils can be found under headings 1 and 2 of the material safety data sheet. A list of EWC codes for hazardous waste is available in the regulations on hazardous waste, SFS 1996:971 (in Swedish). Suitable classification of waste is the responsibility of the user. Examples of EWC codes for waste oil: 12 01 07 mineral-based machining oils free of halogens (except emulsions and solutions), 12 01 09 machining emulsions and solutions free of halogens, 12 01 10 synthetic machining oils, 13 01 06 hydraulic oils, containing mineral oils 13 01 07 other hydraulic oils, 13 02 03 other engine, gear & lubricating oils, 13 03 04 synthetic insulating and heat transmission oils and other liquids, 13 03 05 mineral insulating and heat transmission oils, and 13 06 01 oil waste not otherwise specified.
