1. Washer fluid, top up
2. Battery, test
3. Main fuse no. 1 in main fuse box, fit
4. A/C and ACC fuse 5 in the engine bay main fuse box, fit
5. Anti-theft alarm, affix labels.
6. Blanking-off washers for door locks, fit
7. Saab Information Display: Set clock. Program SID
8. ACC unit, program
9. Wipers and washers, check operation
10. Tyre pressures, check and adjust if necessary (spare wheel also)
11. Oil level, leakage, check and top up if necessary. Engine, automatic transmission and steering servo
12. Fluid levels, leaks, check and top up if necessary. Cooling system, brakes and clutch systems
13. (Turbo only.) Connect the electric lead to the solenoid valve
14. Handbrake, adjusting
15. Underbody; raise the car and check the underbody for transport damage. Note also that anticorrosion protection must be intact.

Raise the car only using the points indicated in the illustration.


16. Remove the brake disc transit protection
17. (9-3 Viggen only). Transit support on front dampers, remove
18. Rear axle mounting, retightening
19. Cover panel in spoiler, fit Place the tools and accessories as indicated. (9-3 Viggen on US, CA, PA, JP and AU markets only). Front towing eye, remove (9-3 Viggen only). Radio antenna rod, fit
20. TWICE control module, programming
21. Diagnostic trouble codes, delete in all control modules.
22. Road test
23. SE, US and CA markets only . Diagnostic trouble codes after road test; check that no new diagnostic trouble codes have been detected by the engine management and automatic transmission control systems.
24. Cleaning
Warning

Lengthy and repeated contact with mineral oil removes the natural oils from your skin, drying it out and causing irritation. If oil has been swallowed, do not provoke vomiting. Call a doctor.
