Time Function

The SID unit contains a time function with the current time, date, month and year. A digital clock situated in the top left corner is always visible when the SID display is on. The month and date are shown only when the TEMP function is selected.
Setting the clock
The clock is set by means of 2 buttons under the clock. The left button has the (-) function and the right button the (+) function.As well as showing the actual time, the clock is used to calculate the trip computer functions and alarm functions. The 24 or 12 hour display is set using the UNITS function.
The current time is sent out as bus information.
RDS time (certain markets)
The RDS (Radio Data System) is an information system transmitted parallel with regular FM broadcasts. Using RDS time, the clock can be set according to the time signals transmitted by the radio. The code for RDS time is sent over the FM network every minute.Setting RDS time
With the ignition ON, the radio turned on and the RDS functions activated.Hold down the two setting buttons under the clock for longer than 1 second, the SID unit will give a brief acoustic signal.
If RDS time is available on the FM network, the SID display will show:

RDS RE-TIME for 3 seconds → current RDS time for 5 seconds and then normal display. The RDS time is stored.

If RDS time is not available on the FM network, the SID display will show:

NO RDS - TIME for 3 seconds, then normal display.

Select function “TEMP”.

Hold down the CLEAR and Arrow (down) buttons together for more than 1 second, “year” begins to flash.

Select the required year in steps down/up with the Arrow (down) or Arrow (up) buttons (scroll down/up).

Press “CLEAR”, the year will be stored in the SID unit.

“Month” begins to flash. Select in the same way as step 3.

Press “CLEAR” to store the “month”.

“Date” begins to flash. Select as before, step 3.

Press “CLEAR” as before to store the “date”.

The year, month and date are stored when the CLEAR button is pressed, the CLEAR and Arrow (down) buttons are pressed together or the ignition is turned off.

Select the year in steps down/up using the Dot (-) or Arrow (+) buttons (scroll down/up).

Year, month and date are stored if the SET or CLR button is pressed, and if the ignition is turned off.
