Attachment eyes, ISOFIX (LATCH)

The attachment eyes for the child seat must be changed if the attachments have been distorted in a collision or have been damaged in any other way.

1.

Grind away the welds securing the attachment eyes and remove the old attachments.
|
|
2.
|
Grind and smooth off the old welds.
|
|
3.
|
Put in place the new attachment eyes.
|
|
4.
|
Measure the precise position for the attachments. The eye on the outer attachment (centre of round rod) must be flush with the crossmember as illustrated. The eyes must be 280 ± 1 mm C-C.

Seam weld the attachment eyes as illustrated, welding length is 10 - 15 mm. Do not forget to plug weld in the middle of the outer attachment.

|
Apply primer to all bare surfaces. Use Standox 1K Füllprimer. After painting, apply a thin layer of anti-corrosion agent and allow it to enter behind the attachments.
