Remove the gearbox, refer to
5-speed gearbox assembly, diesel

Remove the pressure plate and clutch plate, refer to
Clutch assembly, diesel
.

|
| 3. |
Remove the flywheel, refer to
Flywheel, diesel
|
|
| 4. |
Screw a self-tapping screw into the seal and remove the seal.

| To fit |
| 1. |
Clean off gasket remains from the sealing surfaces.
|

| 2. |
Lubricate the new sealing ring with acid-free vaseline and fit it to
83 95 402 Fitting tools, rear crankshaft seal
.

| 3. |
Fit the seal to the crankshaft using
83 95 402 Fitting tools, rear crankshaft seal
. Press in the sealing ring with the tool until it is flush with the cylinder block.

| 4. |
Fit the flywheel loosely with new bolts. Refer to
Flywheel, diesel.

| 5. |
Fit the pressure plate and clutch plate. Refer to
Clutch assembly, diesel
.

Fit the gearbox. Refer to
5-speed gearbox assembly, diesel
