The A/C receiver and the compressor oil absorb moisture from the air, which can then not be removed. Plug all connections that are opened immediately. |

Put the car on a lift.

| 2. |
Drain the refrigerant from the A/C system, see
Draining and filling the refrigerant

| 3. |
Dismantle the upper engine cover.
|
|
| 4. |
For B207R, B207L (us/ca), 207E (us/ca)
Dismantle the SAI hose.
|
|
| 5. |
Dismantle the PAD connection from the A/C compressor. Plug the openings.
|
|
| 6. |
Dismantle the PAD connection from the front right structural member. Plug the openings.
|
|
| 7. |
Dismantle the two-stage rivets from the bumper, use
84 71 179 removal tool, clips
.
|
|
| 8. |
Raise the car.
|
|
| 9. |
Dismantle the bumper's 3 screws in the right front wheel housing.
|
|
| 10. |
Remove the lower engine cover.
|
|
| 11. |
Carefully pull out the bumper on the right hand side and then move the bumper a little forwards.
|

| 12. |
Lower the car.
|
|
| 13. |
Dismantle the
headlamp
and its connector.
|
|
| 14. |
Dismantle the fan variant's connector
|
|
| 15. |
Dismantle the upper PAD connection from the condenser. Plug the openings.
|
|
| 16. |
Lift out the compressor's high and low pressure pipes.
|
|
| To fit |
| 1. |
Adjust the oil quantity in the A/C system. See
A/C system performance test
.

| 2. |
Fit the upper PAD connection to the condenser.
Tightening torque 18 Nm (13 lbf ft) |
|
| 3. |
Connect the fan variant's connector.
|
|
| 4. |
Fit the right hand
headlamp
and its connector.
|
|
| 5. |
Raise the car.
|
|
| 6. |
Fit the bumper on the right hand side.
|
|
| 7. |
Fit the lower engine cover.
|
|
| 8. |
Fit the bumper's 3 screws in the right front wheel housing.
|
|
| 9. |
Lower the car.
|
|
| 10. |
Fit the two-stage rivets on the bumper.
|
|
| 11. |
Replace the sealing washers and fit the PAD connection by the front right structural member.
Tightening torque 18 Nm (13 lbf ft) |

| 12. |
Replace the sealing washer and fit the PAD connection to the A/C compressor.
Tightening torque 18 Nm (13 lbf ft) |
|
| 13. |
For B207R, B207L (us/ca), 207E (us/ca)
Fit the SAI hose.

| 14. |
Fit the upper engine cover.
|
|
| 15. |
Vacuum pump and fill the A/C system with refrigerant. See
Draining and filling the refrigerant

Check the performance of the A/C system. See
