Exhaust system, removing a fitting

Exhaust system, removing a fitting

Important: when working around the exhaust system, the front exhaust pipe with flexible pipe must be secured so that it does not hang too far down. Bends in the flexible pipe of just 5-10 degrees from its intended mounting position can lead to damage and subsequent breakage of the flexible pipe.

Secure this part of the exhaust system with the flexible pipe to the car's underbody using a suitable object such as steel wire - have a technician assist you if necessary.
