The exhaust system consists of two parts, a front section with the catalytic converter and a rear section with two silencers. Both silencers are a combination of resonance and absorption silencers.
The system is supplied without joints from the factory, i.e. as one unit. However there are three different sections available as spare parts: a front section with flexi pipe, a centre section with front silencer, and a rear silencer.
The exhaust system is rubber-mounted at six points.
Corrosion protection
The exhaust system is corrosion-protected in that all materials used, except for the skin of the front silencer, are made from 12-18% chrome steel. The skin of the front silencer is aluminium-plated.This combination gives excellent corrosion resistance.
