| BACKGROUND |
A high no. of purge valves and fuel caps exchanged are checked at supplier with "No fault found".
| CONDITIONS |
May appear on any vehicle with petrol engine.
| SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION |
Fault code P0455, P0442 & P0456.
| ACTION |
Before purge system is leak tested, check if filler cap is broken or if filler cap is insufficiently tight, one of the above DTCs above may appear!
If system is leak tested and no leakage is found, DO NOT REPLACE PURGE VALVE OR FUEL CAPS!
Erase DTC and inform the customer of importance to mount fuel cap properly and tighten till it clicks after fuel fill.
