The microswitch is used to determine whether the seat backrest is folded down.
The switch is of the normally open type. In non-activated position (backrest in normal position) the switch is open. When the backrest is folded forwards, the switch closes and the control module input is grounded.
The switch pin 3 is grounded to the seat control module (357Dk/k) pin 13. Pin 2 on the switch is connected to the input on the seat control module (357Dk/k) pin 27. When the switch is open, the voltage applied to control module pin 27 is approx. B+. When the switch is closed (backrest folded forward), the voltage on the input is 0 volts.
