Remove the relevant drive shaft from the gearbox. See Drive shaft, removal and fitting F17

Pull out the drive shaft sealing ring from the gearcase with MKM-557-1 or
87 91 683 Puller
and
87 92 350 Puller, drive shaft seal
(2) and MKM-557-2 (1)

Smear the new sealing ring and drive it evenly into the gearbox. Use KM-446 (
87 92 871 Fitting tool, drive shaft seals F17
).

Fit the drive shaft in to the gearbox. See Drive shaft, removal and fitting F17
Check the gearbox oil level and adjust if necessary. See Gearbox oil level, checking and correcting F17 .
Where appropriate: Fit the lower engine compartment shield.
