Crankshaft dismantled and only resting loosely in the engine block.
Put 78 40 622 Dial indicator with holder onto the engine block. Put the dial tip on the crankshaft journal. Rotate the crankshaft evenly.
Max. permitted rotational deviation: 0.03 mm.
Fit the crankshaft bearing cap onto the engine block with new bolts - tightening torque 50 Nm + 45° + 15°.
