The microswitch is used to determine whether the seat backrest is folded down.
| Type |
The switch is of the normally open type. In non-activated position (backrest in normal position) the switch is open. When the backrest is folded forwards, the switch closes and the control module input is grounded.
| Connecting seat with control module |
The switch pin 3 is grounded to the seat control module (357Dk/k) pin 13. Pin 2 on the switch is connected to the input on the seat control module (357Dk/k) pin 27. When the switch is open, the voltage applied to control module pin 27 is approx. B+. When the switch is closed (backrest folded forward), the voltage on the input is 0 volts.

Switch pin 2 is connected to the positive supply via fuse 25 or relay 446. When the switch is made, positive voltage is supplied to the relay unit (357r) pin 12 from switch pin 3.
