The emblem is delivered as a spare part in a package consisting of a transparent mounting frame with protective tape on the back. The following describes how the emblem is to be mounted. Use the mounting frame edges as an aid when fitting the emblem to the boot lid.
The Saab emblems on the bonnet and boot lid are secured with double-sided tape and mounted using guide clips.

Protect the paint by masking around the emblem. Use 82 93 474 Removal tool and carefully prise off the emblem.

The emblem must have a temperature of approximately 28-38°C (82-100°F) before it can be fitted. The car should be at room temperature, approximately 20° (68°F). |

First use benzine to clean the surface on which the emblem is to be mounted. Remove the protective tape from the back of the emblem and let the emblem remain in the mounting frame.

Position the edges of the mounting frame against the corners of the bootlid as illustrated.

Press on and remove the frame.

Position the emblem guide clips against the bonnet/boot lid and press the emblem in place.
