Instruction: the fuel system for the Z18XE has no return line. There is only a short fuel return on the fuel tank. The fuel pressure for the electric fuel pump acting in the fuel return line from the fuel filter to the fuel pressure regulator in the fuel tank is 3.8 bar. The system pressure is 3.8 bar and is generated by the fuel pump in the inner tank model. The high-pressure fuel pump generates a pressure of up to 120 bar. After turning off the engine the pressure is equalised using a regulating system. The fuel pressure drops very slowly after turning off the ignition. Before this pressurised part of the fuel system is opened, the fuel pressure should therefore be lowered through the test connection using the pressure tester

Fuel tank, draining
Instruction: the fuel tank must be drained using a fuel draining unit. The fuel tank is equipped with a filler float valve. This is on the filler connection in the fuel tank. To avoid damaging the filler float valve, a suitable suction valve such as BAS 020, should be used. |

Fuel lines, quick couplings
Instruction: when connecting lines with quick couplings, the following procedure must be followed:

Pull off the clamp(2) from the connector (1)
|
| 3.2. |
Put the clamp in the bushing (3)
|
| 3.3. |
Let the clamp snap in place on both sides
|
| 3.4. |
Put the connector in the bushing
|
| 3.5. |
Let the connector snap in place with great force
|
| 3.6. |
Check that the quick coupling snaps in place correctly
