| BACKGROUND |
Customer complains that oil level warning shows up in display although the oil level is still between min and max on the dipstick.

Software weakness in ECU.
| SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION |
"Check oil level" message shows up too early.
| ACTION |
In case of customer complaint advise not to overfill and to keep the oil level between min and max mark on the oil dip stick. A revised software containing modified oil level calibration is in development.
This software will be available in week 51/2008 via TIS2WEB 13.0.
Please do not replace parts (e.g. oil level sensor) since the problem will not be solved without the new software.
