| BACKGROUND |
We have seen a increased number of faulty replaced CIM:s, where the root cause was the SCL, but the new SCL could not be added to the vehicle.
| SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION |
SCL Add failed, due to DTC B3948:00 set in CIM.
B3948:00 is a general code for steering lock and will be set together with a DTC that show what component/system failed.
Add is not possible as long as the DTC are stored in CIM.
| ACTION |
Replace the faulty SCL and connect it.
Erase DTC B3948:00 in CIM (without turning ignition from lock) (Tech2 Diagnose / MY / Saab 9-3 Sport (9440 ) / All /Diagnostic trouble codes (DTC)/Clear vehicles DTC:s/Exit/OK).
Do an Add of SCL
