| To remove |
| 1. |
Detach the hose for measuring pressure drop.

| 2. |
Remove the temperature sensor, taking care not to damage the sensor.
Remove the cable tie. |
|
| 3. |
Remove the front rubber mountings.
|
|
| 4. |
Undo the rear clamp.
|
|
| 5. |
Remove the three nuts joining the particle filter/rear catalytic converter to the front pipe.
|
|
| 6. |
Remove the particle filter/rear catalytic converter rear mounting.
|
|
| 7. |
Remove the particle filter/rear catalytic converter.
|
|
| To fit |
| 1. |
Fit the particle filter/rear catalytic converter.
|
|
| 2. |
Fit the particle filter/rear catalytic converter rear mounting.
|
|
| 3. |
Fit the three nuts joining the particle filter/rear catalytic converter to the front pipe. Use a new gasket and new nuts.
|

| 4. |
Fit the rear clamp.
|
|
| 5. |
Fit the front rubber mountings.
|

| 6. |
Lubricate the temperature sensor threads with
30 20 971 Screw-thread paste
. Fit the temperature sensor and cable tie.

| 7. |
Attach the hose for measuring pressure drop.
|
|
| 8. |
If a new particle filter is fitted
: Connect the diagnostic tool to reset adaptation values. Select Menu - Engine - Engine management system - Adjustment -
Particle Filter Replaced.
