Raise the car.
|
|
| 4. |
Remove the oil return hose (A).
|
|
| 5. |
Remove the lower mountings of the turbo unit (B).
|
|
| 6. |
Remove the banjo screw of the oil pipe (C).
|
|
| 7. |
Lower the car.
|
|
| 8. |
Remove the heat shield (A).
|
|
| 9. |
Detach the vacuum hoses from the diaphragm boxes (B).
|
|
| 10. |
Remove the banjo screw of the oil delivery pipe (C).
|
|
| 11. |
Undo the hose clip (D) and detach the intake manifold (E) from the turbocharger.
|
|
| 12. |
Remove the dipstick (F).
|
|
| 13. |
Remove the exhaust manifold's nuts (A).
|
|
| 14. |
Carefully lift out the turbo unit.
|
|
| 15. |
Remove the banjo screw of the oil delivery pipe (B).

To reduce the risk of hoses mounted on the delivery side of the turbocharger coming loose due to low friction at high air pressure, the hoses and connecting pieces must be cleaned thoroughly before fitting. Use a rag dampened with 93 160 907 Motip Dupli cleaning agent to wipe clean inside the ends of the hoses. Clean the connecting pieces as well. If hose clips are rusty or damaged, they must be replaced so the correct clamping force is maintained. |

Replace gaskets and insert the banjo screw of the oil delivery pipe (B).

Replace the exhaust manifold gasket and carefully lift in the turbo unit.
|
|
| 3. |
Fit the exhaust manifold's nuts (A).
Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 lbf ft) 
|
|
| 4. |
Fit the oil delivery pipe's banjo screw to the engine block.
|
|
| 5. |
Tighten the banjo screw of the oil delivery pipe (B).
|
|
| 6. |
Fit the dipstick (F).
|
|
| 7. |
Fit the intake manifold (E) and tighten the hose clip (D).
|
|
| 8. |
Replace gaskets and fit the oil delivery pipe's banjo screw (C).

| 9. |
Attach the vacuum hoses to the diaphragm box (B).
|
|
| 10. |
Fit the heat shield (A).
|
|
| 11. |
Raise the car.
|
|
| 12. |
Fit the lower mountings of the turbo unit (B).
|
|
| 13. |
Attach the oil return hose (A).
|
|
| 14. |
