Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit. Short to B+ / Open Circuit.

On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
| Engine running and not in limp home mode. |
Fault criteria:
| Oil temperature sensor circuit is short-circuited to B+ or open for more than 1s. |
System reaction to a fault:
| If the DTC remains during several test cycles: |
| Oil temperature not updated; indicates latest value. |
| Oil temperature set to 80 degrees. |
| Excluded Lock-Up function. |
Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
