Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Remove the top of the tooth belt cover - see Tooth belt cover top part, removing and fitting .

Turn the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation to "ignition TDC for cylinder 1" (mark 2) using the tooth belt sprocket retaining bolt. At the same time, the markings (1) on the camshaft sprockets must correspond (it must be possible to insert blocking tool KM-852 in this position).

Turn the crankshaft slowly and evenly.

Connect the ground cable to the battery.
