Leakage from the coolant reservoir
|
Saab 9-3 with B284 engines (2,8L V-6), that has been subject to Campaign
15460 or have the new reservoir installed.
Coolant leaking from hose fitting on expansion tank.
The turbo degas inlet pipe has too much burr on the seam line step of
the connection also too low clamping force with the 19mm clip.

Rework parts on affected cars by polishing the burr and split
line on the connections to a smooth surface and change the clamp to 18mm.

|

|
Rework any Campaign kits in prior to fitting by changing the 19mm
hose clamp to 18 mm and polish the burr and split line on the connections.
|
The burr/split line surface MUST be smooth, and less than 0,03mm i.e
visible step that cannot be felt.

Only cars with leakage need be reworked.
NOTE: USE FINE ABRASIVE PAPER TO POLISH THE SURFACE ON EACH SIDE ALONG
THE SPLITLINE, SEE PICTURE BELOW.
