To remove


1. Remove the upper engine cover.


2. Remove the cover on the battery.

3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

4. Detach the SAI pump inlet hose from the SAI pump.


5. Unplug the connector from the SAI pump.

6. Remove the SAI pump screw in the cable rail.

7. Detach the connector to the oil pressure switch.

8. Disconnect the SAI pipe quick coupling from the valve.


9. Remove the upper SAI pump retaining bolt.

10. Raise the car.

11. Detach the starter motor cables.


12. Remove the starter motor.

13. Remove the bolt from the SAI pipe bracket on the cylinder block.

14. Disconnect the SAI pipe quick coupling from the pump.


15. Remove the SAI pump and bracket by undoing the 3 remaining bolts.

16. Detach the connector.


17. Remove the SAI pump from the bracket.


To fit


1. Fit the SAI pump to the bracket with new mountings.


2. Insert the 3 bolts securing the SAI pump bracket to the cylinder block.

3. Lower the car.

4. Plug in the connector.

5. Fit the upper bolt.

6. Raise the car.

7. Tighten the remaining bolts.

Tightening torque 22 Nm (16 lbf ft).


8. Change the O-ring and connect the pipe fast coupling to the SAI pump.

9. Fit the SAI pipe bracket to the cylinder block.

10. Fit the starter motor.


11. Connect the starter motor cables.

12. Lower the car.

13. Change the O-ring and connect the fast coupling to the valve.


14. Plug in the oil pressure switch connector.


15. Fit the SAI pipe to the cable rail.

16. Plug in the SAI pump connector.

17. Connect the inlet hose to the SAI pump.

18. Reconnect the negative battery cable.


19. Fit the battery cover.

20. Fit the upper engine cover.

21. After disconnecting the battery .
