| BACKGROUND |
This code can be generated even if though there is no specific fault with the EGR valve itself. Always carry out air leak tests on the induction side (see T/A GB-10-002)
Note the code can also be flagged by damaged or missing swirl flaps in the inlet manifold.

| ACTION |
The fault trace in WIS may ask to check for change in engine note when operating the valve with Tech2 but in practice, it is best to remove the valve and check it operates with Tech 2 “Activate” command.
If there is no fault with the EGR then check the inlet manifold for damaged or missing swirl flaps and rectify as necessary.
Clear any codes after repair and ensure engine is performing to specification.
