The soft top on the Saab 9-3 is, with its advanced mechanics and its triple fabric, designed and tested to provide adequate protection against cold, and rain as well as road and wind noise. A condition for the customer to be able to enjoy a well-insulated driver's environment is that the soft top and windows are correctly adjusted.
When adjusting, it is important to consider the car as one unit. A small space between the door window and the soft top may depend on the window, soft top or the door being incorrectly adjusted. If adjusting individual components, without considering the entire car, there is a very real risk that the problem is shifted around on the car, resulting in the need for time-wasting further adjustments.
The following section describes the principles that apply to adjustments made on the Saab 9-3 Convertible. Each individual adjustment option is also described separately.
