On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
| Coolant temperature must be over 60°C. |
| Battery voltage must be between 11 - 16 V. |
| Catalytic converter diagnosis active |
| Diagnostics for the following components/systems must NOT have reported a fault: |
| • | Shut-off valve, EVAP canister. |
| • | Tank integrity system (EVAP). |
Fault criteria:
| Too long a time until O2S2 shows lean. |
Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
