On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:

Continuous

Enable criteria:

Ignition ON.
•Test 1
Brake light switch not activated.
Vehicle accelerating with engine power.
•Test 2
Vehicle speed more than 7 km/h.
Acceleration more than 2 m/s2
No TCS regulation.
•Test 3
Brake light switch activated.
Retardation more than 5 m/s2.
•Test 4
Brake light switch not activated.
No TCS regulation.
Vehicle accelerating with engine power.

Fault criteria:

•Test 1
Pedal pressure exceeds 25 bar for more than 2.5 seconds.
•Test 2
Pedal pressure exceeds 50 bar for more than 2.5 seconds.
•Test 3
Brake light switch activated more than 5 times and pedal pressure less than 1.4 bar for more than 2.5 seconds.
•Test 4
Pedal pressure exceeds 20 bar.

System reaction to a fault:

No ESP function
