Raise the car.
|

| 2. |
Remove the lower engine cover.
|
|
| 3. |
Remove the three nuts joining the particle filter/rear catalytic converter to the front pipe.
|
|
| 4. |
Remove the three nuts joining the pipe to the front catalytic converter.
|
|
| 5. |
Remove the mounting in the oil sump.
|
|
| 6. |
Remove the pipe. Take care with the flexible section if the pipe is going to be refitted, it must not be bent more than 5°.

| To fit |
| 1. |
Lubricate the studs with screw-thread paste and fit the pipe between the front and rear catalytic converters. Use new gaskets and new nuts.

| 2. |
Fit the mounting in the oil sump.
Tighten the nuts. Tightening torque 25 Nm (18 lbf ft) |

| 3. |
Lower the car.
|
|
| 4. |
Connect an exhaust hose and start the engine. Check the exhaust system for leaks.
|
|
| 5. |
Fit the lower engine cover.
|
