On-board diagnosis
Type of diagnosis:
Enable criteria:
| Light switch in position 2. |
Fault criteria:
| Current consumption is between 7.9 and 30 A. |
System reaction to a fault:
Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
Diagnostic help
Diagnostic trouble code can be generated if the incorrect lamp is used.
If the vehicle has Xenon headlights, the ignition must be ON for 30 seconds for this to be detected.
