The sensor element comprises a resistance bridge in thin-film technology mounted on a steel diaphragm. When pressure is exerted to the diaphragm it will bend, creating a voltage across the resistance bridge. This voltage is then converted in an integrated signal converter and is connected to ECM, control module, E39 (590).
When the fuel pressure is high, the output signal voltage is high. When the fuel pressure is low, the output signal voltage is low.
