EN 46104 Water Pump Pulley Holding ToolFor equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Ensure that the engine front cover and water pump are clear of old gasket material.

| 2. |
Make sure that the water pump's bolt holes in the engine's front cover are clean and dry.
|
|
| 3. |
Place a new water pump gasket on the water pump.
|
|
| 4. |
Place the water pump in position on the front cover.
|
|
| 5. |
Fit the bolts and tighten with your fingers.
|
|

Fastener Caution
.
Tighten the water pump bolts in sequence to 12 Nm (106lb in) . |
|
| 7. |
Retighten the water pump bolts in sequence to
12 Nm (106lb in)
.
|
|
| 8. |
Install the water pump pulley.
|
|
| 9. |
Loosely install the water pump pulley bolts.
|
|
| 10. |
Install the
EN 46104
tool (1) onto the water pump pulley and tighten the water pump pulley bolts to
10 Nm (89 lb in)
