Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Replacement (LF1)

Preliminary Procedures

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System, Draining and Filling (GE 47716) Cooling System, Draining and Filling (Static Fill LAU) Cooling System, Draining and Filling (Static Fill LF1) .

2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .

3. Remove the fuel pipe shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement


1 Heater Outlet Hose
2 Heater Inlet Hose
3 Surge Tank Hose
4 Radiator Outlet Hose
5 Bolt (Qty: 3) Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten

10 Nm (88 lb in)
6 Engine Cooling Thermostat Housing

Procedure

• Clean the engine block and thermostat gasket surfaces.

• Replace the gasket and any damaged hoses.
