| Removal Procedure |
| 1. |
Remove the three-way catalytic converter. Refer to
Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement (Service)

| 2. |
Remove the secondary air injection pump pipe. Refer to
Secondary Air Injection Pump Pipe Replacement
.
|
|
| 3. |
Remove the check valve pipe fasteners (1) and (2).
|
|
| 4. |
Remove the check valve bracket fasteners (1) and(2).
|
|
| 5. |
Remove the check valve (1) and gasket (2).
|
|
| Installation Procedure |
| 1. |
Install the check valve (1) and gasket (2).
|
|
| 2. |
Refer to
Fastener Caution
.
Install the check valve bracket fastener (1) and tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb in).
|
|
| 3. |
Install the check valve bracket fastener (2) and tighten to
58 Nm (43 lb ft).
|
|
| 4. |
Install the check valve pipe fasteners (1) and (2).
|
|
| 5. |
Tighten the check valve pipe fastener (1) to
23 Nm (17 lb ft)
.

|
| 6. |
Tighten the check valve pipe fastener (2) to
9 Nm (80 lb in).
|
|
| 7. |
Install the three-way catalytic converter. Refer to
Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement (Service)
.

|
| 8. |
Install the secondary air injection pump pipe. Refer to
Secondary Air Injection Pump Pipe Replacement
.
