Endgate Emblem/Nameplate Replacement (Turbo 6)

Preliminary Procedures

1. The emblem is delivered as a spare part in a package consisting of a frame with a transparent window with protective tape on the back.

2. Using a heat gun (500-700°F) and with a circular motion, warm the emblem / nameplate to release the adhesive backing from the endgate.

3. Use a plastic-type trim tool to remove the old emblem / nameplate from the endgate.

4. Using a 50 / 50 mixture by volume of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water, remove any adhesive residue from the endgate.

5. Dry the area thoroughly with a clean, dry, lint free towel.

6. The emblem must be at room temperature (approx. 20°C-68°F) before the emblem can be installed to the endgate.

7. Use the following measurements to fit the emblem frame to the endgate:

(a) Measure (56.20 mm-2.2 in) from the bottom edge of the endgate and mark a horizontal line using masking tape.

(b) Measure (19.44 mm-.77 in) from the outer edge of the endgate and mark the masking tape.

(c) Measure (22.71 mm-.89 in) from the outer edge of the endgate and mark the masking tape.

(d) Measure (42.76 mm-1.68 in) from the outer edge of the endgate and mark a vertical line using masking tape down to point (b).

8. Remove the protective tape from the back of the emblem and let the emblem remain in the frame.

9. Position the frame to the endgate measurements as described.

10. Remove the frame from the emblem.

11. Using the palm of the hand, and a dry clean lint-free towel ensure proper adhesion is made to the endgate emblem.

Note

Remove the masking tape after installation of the emblem / nameplate and clean the surrounding area.
