Instrument Panel Compartment Door Lock Cylinder Replacement

Lift up on the instrument panel compartment door latch.
|
|
2.
|
Use a suitable tool and depress the retaining tumbler (1) through the access hole indicated.
|
|
3.
|
With the retaining tumbler (1) depressed, remove the instrument panel compartment door lock cylinder (2) from the instrument panel compartment door latch assembly.

|

|
Position the instrument panel compartment door lock cylinder (2) to the opening in the compartment door latch, while depressing the retainer tumbler (1).

|
2.
|
Insert the instrument panel door lock cylinder (2) fully into the latch assembly.
|
|
3.
|
An audible click should be heard when the door lock cylinder (2) is fully seated into the latch assembly.
|
|
4.
|
Ensure proper operation of the instrument panel compartment door lock.
|
