Diagnostic procedure
1 Check the battery

Check that no battery charger is connected to the battery.

| • |
Start the engine.
|
|
| • |
Check battery voltage at different engine rpm.
|
|
| • |
Red test lead: B+.
|
|
| • |
Black test lead: B-.
|
|
| • |
The reading obtained should be below 15.5 V.
|

Test results OK?
| YES |

Go to point 3.
| NO |

Go to point 2.
2 Check the component
| • |
Check the accumulator and the regulator. See group 3 Electrical system, ’Components’.

Go to point 3.

Repair or replace the faulty component.

3. Final check

Delete DTCs in all systems.

Activate parking heater (ON).

Perform a functionality check.

Evaluate the functionality check.

Check that the diagnostic trouble code has not recurred.
