Check fuse 37 in the car interior and fuse 16 in the engine bay.
The following values can be read with the diagnostic tool:

Windscreen wiper parking position.

The following function can be activated with the diagnostic tool:

Windscreen wiper relay.

Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in several directions to detect intermittent open circuits and short circuits. Note the reaction of the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool during the check.
