| To remove |

Raise the car and remove the lower engine cover.

| 2. |
Loosen the oil plug and drain the oil from the engine.
|
|
| 3. |
Remove the sheet metal oil sump and clean the seal faces of the sump and engine.
|
|
| To fit |
| 1. |
Fit the sheet metal sump. Apply a 2 mm bead of flange sealant 87 81 841 on the sump's seal face.
Tightening torque: 9 Nm (7 lbf ft)

| 2. |
Fit the oil plug with a new gasket.
|
|
| 3. |
If needed, change the oil filter. See...

| 4. |
Fit the lower engine cover.
|
|
