The tank hatch is electronically operated and can be opened with a switch located on the driver's door. It can also be opened in emergencies by pulling the arrow-shaped handle backwards.
+30 voltage is supplied to switch 623 from fuse 25 via the coil of relay 629. When the switch is activated, the coil is grounded via the switch and the relay operates. Current then flows through the relay contacts to solenoid 434a, which operates and opens the hatch.
The solenoid is grounded to grounding point G44 and the switch to G33 (LHD) or G24 (RHD).
