If the driver's door is locked with the key within the 30 seconds it takes for the tailgate to be locked automatically, the locking procedure will be the same as for “Locking all doors”.
When the key is turned in the driver's door, pin 56 on the TWICE control module will be grounded.
A short voltage pulse (0.8 sec.) is fed to the tailgate lock motor from TWICE control module pin 51 via relay 594, which activates when the coil is grounded by TWICE control module pin 2. The tailgate lock motor will then lock the tailgate.
The lock motor is grounded on pins 67 and 44 of the TWICE control module.

You can unlock the tailgate by turning the key in the lock cylinder in the tailgate.
When switch 622 is activated by turning the key, pin 59 on the TWICE control module will be connected to ground and the tailgate will be unlocked.
The following conditions apply on the US/CA market when unlocking with the key:
Anti-theft alarm and glass breakage sensor are disarmed.
