This bulletin advises of an amendment to the service programme and comes into immediate effect. The next edition of WIS will contain this information.
Saab 9-5 M02-M05 with engine alternative D223L
A procedure has been added to the 120 000 km interval in the service programme at the "Drive belt, replacement" step for cars equipped with the above engine alternative. The belt pulley on the crankshaft must also be checked visually here.
Not affected.
When the drive belt has been removed, check that the belt pulley's belt track does not tend to work loose from the hub. If there are cracks of approx. 3 cm in the rubber material of the intermediate section of the belt pulley the it must be replaced. See illustration.
