Fill the system while the engine is cold. Do not fill above the MAX mark. Check and if necessary adjust the level after running the engine to normal working temperature (to open the thermostat).
Cooling system volume:
- 7.4 litres (7.8 qts) (4-cyl. engine)
- 7.2 litres (7.6 qts) (V6 engine)

Screw the filler cap down hard or the system will not be pressurized, resulting in a lower boiling point and loss of coolant. |

Start the car with A/C or ACC off, and allow it to idle until the radiator fan has started once (4-cyl.) or three times (V6).

If the car is equipped with a petrol-driven parking heater, bleed the system by removing the upper hose. If air is present in the system when the parking heater is started, the heater could be damaged. Start the heater and allow it to run for a while when the radiator fan has started.

Check the condition of the hoses.
