When changing an ashtray with an undamaged wood or carbon fibre front panel, an ashtray with a plastic front panel must be ordered. The old front panel must be transferred to the new ashtray to avoid the differences in nuance and shading that can occur between different examples of wood and carbon fibre inlays.

Pull the ashtray out of the holder.

Carefully bend aside the ashtray holder's clips using a screwdriver, first the 2 lower ones then the 2 upper ones, while pulling out the ashtray holder.

Carefully bend both of the front panel side plates outward so that they can pass the locking catches.

Fold the front panel forward. Bend the metal plate in the ashtray up a bit if necessary.

Unhook the front panel from the ashtray. Do not lose the spring.

Disassemble the plastic front panel from the new ashtray according to steps 3-5.

Hook the spring in place on the new ashtray and hold it there. Note: Take care not to break the pivot pin.

Hook the wood or carbon fibre front panel pivot pin into the new ashtray and fold the front panel into place. Bend the metal sheet in the ashtray up a bit if necessary.

Mount the new ashtray holder in the panel.
|

| 10. |
Fit the new ashtray.
