Trip computer




General

There are two trip computer variants, SID 1 and SID 2.

The trip computers SID 1 and SID 2 have the following functions in common:


Date

Temp. (ambient temperature)

D.T.E. (distance to empty)

Fuel Ø (average fuel consumption)

Speed Ø (average speed)


The SID 2 trip computer has the following additional functions:


Dist. (distance to destination)

Arriv. (arrival time)

Alarm (time alarm)

Speed W (speed warning)


The trip computer is operated with the buttons under the display. To carry out the calculations required to display the above information, the SID uses the following information:


Time, “own” clock

Vehicle speed, unit km/h (mph)

Fuel level, unit litre (gallon)

Odometer reading, unit km (miles)

Fuel consumption since starting, unit ml





SID functions with ignition ON

CHECKING appears on the display for approx. 4 seconds; if no CHECK message is shown, the function which was previously selected will be shown unless:


the ambient temperature is in the -3°C to +3°C range, in which case the ambient temperature will be shown.


Operation of SID


Select function

Pressing (-) or (+) illuminates all trip computer functions for up to 12 seconds.

Use the (-) button to select a function from the menu in the left-hand column.

Use the (+) button to select from the right-hand column.

Reset function

To reset the trip computer functions, hold down the CLEAR button for more than 4 seconds. Resetting to zero is indicated by a brief acoustic signal at the same time as the text “CLEARED” appears on the display for 2 seconds.

Note

The values programmed in Dist./Arriv. are not reset.


Setting the values

Select the function and then hold the SET button down for more than 1 second, whereupon an acoustic signal will be heard.

Increase or decrease the value of the selected function with the (-) and (+) buttons.

Confirm the setting by pressing the SET button briefly.

If the function (Alarm, Speed W) is activated, this is shown by a * (asterisk) to the right in the upper text row. To deactivate the function, press CLEAR. The asterisk disappears. Press SET to reactivate the Alarm, Speed W, etc.

The set values are retained when the ignition is OFF.
