Remove the upper engine cover.
|
|
2.
|
Detach the vacuum hoses from the vacuum pump.
|
|
3.
|
Unplug the connector to the temperature/pressure sensor.
|
|
4.
|
Undo the cable rail and move it to one side.
|
|
5.
|
Remove the four vacuum pump retaining bolts and carefully lift away the vacuum pump with adapter. Keep a rag or similar ready to catch any oil spill.

Clean the vacuum pump and cylinder head sealing surfaces.
|
|
2.
|
Apply new sealant,
87 81 841 Silicon flange sealant
to the vacuum pump and cylinder head and mount the vacuum pump and adapter.
Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 lbf ft)
|
|
3.
|
Fit the cable rail with screws.
|
|
4.
|
Plug in the connector to the pressure/temperature sensor.
|
|
5.
|
Connect the vacuum hoses to the vacuum pump.
|
|
6.
|
Fit the upper engine cover.
|
