If the tyre is worn unevenly or abnormally, the wheel angles must be checked and adjusted with 4-wheel alignment as described in Wheel alignment .
The tyres have what is called wear indicators, which means that a lateral strip without tread pattern will appear when the remaining tread depth reaches 1.6mm. The tyres must then be changed.
